Do You Want a Revolution?
Being on the margins of society can be humiliating, feeling passed over, expendable, forgotten, worthless. This is the situation in which Mary and Elizabeth (and so many of God's people at the time) found themselves. It's the situation many experience today. But the good news of the gospel is that Jesus’ kingdom brings total revolution. In Jesus' kingdom the last shall be first and the first shall be last, the hungry are satisfied but the full go away hungry, the humble are lifted up and the proud are brought down a notch. In Jesus' kingdom it turns out humility is the perfect posture for receiving.
