The Image of God
Genesis 1:26-31. In small and large ways, every one of us fails to honor the dignity of human life. We don’t understand or acknowledge what it means to be made in the image of God, and the inherent dignity and honor God has bestowed on every human being. We use, abuse, and dispose of humanity at will to gratify our selfish desires. But as image-bearers every human has innate dignity and is deserving of honor. Every single human on this planet (all 7.753 billion!), no matter how useless or broken we may feel, and no matter how irredeemable or insignificant we may think others are, we all have God-given dignity and honor, and it’s found in the purpose and role we're meant to play in our lives. Join us this morning as we start our series "Pro-Life: Do All Lives Matter" with a message on the image of God.
