“In a bacon and egg breakfast, the chicken is involved but the pig is committed.” This is a popular business fable used to talk about one’s commitment to a project or outcome. Are you consulting, really, from the outside, at no potential risk to your future, or are you fully invested. Is your livelihood riding on it? What does it cost you? Are you involved or committed? When it comes to being a follower of Jesus, are you involved or committed?

Why do you do what you do? What drives your actions, habits, and routines? It’s probably a mix of your deepest desires and core beliefs. Basically, who you are determines what you do. Identity drives behavior. Over the next 5 weeks we’ll be looking into what makes Refuge Refuge, who we are and why we do what we do.
