Empowered by the Holy Spirit
Acts 1:6-8. Too often, we would rather follow a system than the Spirit. We prefer the comfort of routine over the uncertainty and risk of following the Spirit. But family, the Spirit-filled life is where the adventure is! That’s where fullness of life is found: in following the Spirit, by walking with the Spirit, receiving his power, and testifying to salvation in Christ. Jesus gives us his Spirit to empower us to be his witnesses.

What is the church? Now more than ever followers of Jesus must be able to answer this question. 2020 exposed a lot in the American church. It revealed a dependency on, and a relegation of our faith to, a weekly Sunday service. But COVID and all its effects forced the church to refocus on its mission outside the church building instead of using its efforts to get people to the building.
