A Certain Faith
The world tells us faith in God is mindless, anti-intellectual, and not historical. Faith is a blind leap. Once you get smart enough, you leave all that childish stuff behind. The documents that make up the Bible would never stand up to the test of modern historiography. But what we see, as we investigate Luke's gospel and engage textual criticism is that our confidence can be placed in the certainty that Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection were historical events.
